Marple Wedding Photographer – hey that’s me!

I’m a wedding photographer in Marple and recently I realised hey – that makes me a Marple Wedding Photographer!

Now this normally wouldn’t be of much interest. I’ve lived here for almost 8 years and have been a photographer for the duration.

If you don’t know Marple, it’s a lovely town in between Stockport and the Peak District. We’re surrounded by countryside and canals, while being on the train lines to Manchester and Sheffield. It’s a great place to live: friendly and independent.

We also have a few brilliant wedding venues here. I recently opted to stop looking further afield and concentrate my business on working locally, as I was so taken by the area.

And it’s worked – I’ve recently been booked for weddings at the Roman Lakes, and The Crown. While I’ve shot in Stockport before, this is a treat for me as The Crown is at the end of my street!

The Roman Lakes – a great spot for a Marple wedding photographer

The Roman Lakes, where I’ll be shooting a wedding in August, is particularly aesthetically pleasing. Though I may be biased as it’s where my wife and I were originally due to get married before Covid unfortunately cancelled those plans for us! (We did have a happy, smaller wedding years later, don’t worry.)

The Crown is a local pub which has, again since C19, reinvented itself as a gastropub and events venue. It’s had loads of bookings for Marple Weddings, and I’m excited to shoot there in Spring 2026.

There are other venues too – The Strines Nightingale is one that will be getting booked up in years to come, with the area’s best secret forest area!

I’ll post another blog after the weddings, when I can finally call myself a Marple Wedding Photographer!
